To add a new Fundraising Ask, go to a person's record > Fundraising tab > Giving Potential menu. Select the ADD button in the Open/Closed Asks section.
Enter details for the new Ask in the Add Ask window. All bolded fields are required.

Date Opened = Date on which you wish to start tracking the open Ask.

Ask Status = Current status of the Ask.

Pending Solicitation

Awaiting Response from Donor

Successful - Written Commitment

Successful - Verbal Commitment

Closed - Declined

Closed - Cancelled

Note: Pending Solicitation and Awaiting Response from Donor are considered "open" asks. All others are considered "closed".

Ask Type = How your organization categorizes the Ask.

One-time Gift

Planned Gift

Pledge

Expected Ask Amount = The total amount you expect to ask that person to give. This is for Open Asks only.

Expected Close Date = Date you expect the Ask to close.

Date of Ask = Actual date the ask was made to the potential donor.

Actual Ask Amount = Actual donation amount requested from the donor.

Prospect Manager = Pulls from a pre-existing list of Prospect Managers for your organization. (See: Managing your Prospect Managers.)

Campaign = Pulls from your pre-exiting campaign list. (See: Adding/Editing a Fundraising Campaign.)

Fund Account To Support = Once a campaign is selected, the associated fund accounts will appear in this picklist. (See: Adding/Updating Fund Accounts.)

Solicitor = Once a campaign is selected, the associated fund accounts will appear in this picklist. (See: Managing Fundraising Campaign Solicitors.)

Date Closed = Date the Ask effort is closed.

Confidence Level = Track your organization's confidence with acquiring the ask amount from the potential donor.

Notes = Enter applicable comments or other details you wish to document on the Ask.
- The 'Notes' field does not appear in the Ask listing on the potential donor's Giving Potential page.

Select Create Ask to generate the new Ask on the potential donor's record.
