Information on a person's Fundraising Asks is managed on their Compass record, Fundraising tab > Giving Potential menu. Note that you must have the appropriate Fundraising permissions to see this page.
There are two sections on this page:
- Giving Potential = total amount you expect this person to give to your organization
- Open Asks = outstanding Asks with a status of Pending Solicitation or Awaiting Response from Donor
- Closed Asks = Asks with a status of Successful - Written Commitment, Successful - Verbal Commitment, Closed - Declined or Closed - Cancelled
GIVING POTENTIAL SECTION
- Select the EDIT button on the top right of the Giving Potential section to edit a person's potential amount.
OPEN/CLOSED ASKS SECTION
- Select the ADD button to add a new Ask.
- Select the PDF button to generate a PDF file with a list of the Open and Closed Asks on this screen.
- Select the EXCEL button to generate an Excel file with a list of the Open and Closed Asks on this screen.
- Select the EXPORT button to download the Open/Closed Asks listing into a CSV, Tab, Pipe or Tilde file.
- Select the row of an Ask to review the associated Ask Details page to view more information to include the Change Log. You can also Edit an Ask or Delete an Open Ask from the Ask Details page.
- Select the EDIT button on the row of an Open or Closed Ask to edit the information.
Open Asks Columns

Ask Status = Current status of the Ask.

Ask Type = How your organization categorizes the Ask.

Date Opened = Date on which you wish to start tracking the open Ask.

Days Open = Number of days since the Date Opened date.

Expected Ask Amount = The total amount you expect to ask that person to give. This is for Open Asks only.

Actual Ask Amount = Actual donation amount requested from the donor.

Confidence Level = Track your organization's confidence with acquiring the ask amount from the potential donor.

Fund Account to Support = Once a campaign is selected, the associated fund accounts will appear in this picklist.

Campaign = Pulls from your pre-exiting campaign list.

Prospect Manager = Pulls from a pre-existing list of Prospect Managers for your organization.

Solicitor = Once a campaign is selected, the associated fund accounts will appear in this picklist.

Date of Ask = Actual date the ask was made to the potential donor.

Expected Close Date = Date you expect the Ask to close.
Closed Asks Columns

Main differences between the columns in the ‘Opened’ vs. ‘Closed’ sections:

Expected Ask Amount and Confidence Level are not in the Closed section.

Closed section has ‘Date Closed’ instead of 'Expected Close Date' from Open section.
