Thank You Letters
Left-hand Navigation: Fundraising » All Campaigns » select desired Campaign » Configuration » Thank You Letters
Add
- Click the "Add" button.
- Fill in the form (bolded items are required):
- Letter Description – Name for your letter
- Active – "Yes" or "No" – Determines if the letter populates to choose
- Include System Salutation – The system salutation is currently Dear [Prefix][Last Name]. Choose "No" to create your own
- Letter Text – Create your Custom Letter here. Use the merge fields below that come from the donor's record and the donation record.
- Closing – Fill out this field with a closing such as “Fraternally,” or “Sincerely,”
- Include IRS Verbiage – this will add “No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution” to the generic Compass letter.
- Include Giving Summary – This will populate a box on the letter with donation information if you choose not to include it in the body of the letter.
Adding a Signature
... > Thank You Letters » select desired Letter » click the signature icon
- Click into the Small Icon under Signatures
- Click "Add Signature"
- Enter Name, Titles and choose a file (size is limited to 150x42 pixels)
Editing Thank You Letter
Fundraising » All Campaigns » select desired Campaign » Configuration » Thank You Letters » select desired Letter » Edit » Submit
Preview Thank You Letter
Fundraising » All Campaigns » select desired Campaign » Configuration » Thank You Letters » find desired Letter » Preview on the right side
This allows you to see what the letter will look like when printed.
Deleting Thank You Letter
Fundraising » All Campaigns » select desired Campaign » Configuration » Thank You Letters » find desired Letter » click "Delete"
Marking Thank You Letter Inactive
Fundraising » All Campaigns » select desired Campaign » Configuration »Thank You Letters » select desired Letter » Switch the Inactive flag to "No" and Submit
Marking a thank you letter inactive should be done if the letter shouldn't show or be used again.
